Terms of Service
Hosted/Managed Services
Hosted services require a functional wireguard client in order to establish an encrypted Peer-to-Peer VPN granting access to the specific services requested. In addition, you have to ensure that there is no clash with the 10.7.0.0/16 CIDR in use for this purpose. The security of your endpoint devices is in your own responsibility.
Every hosted service, if not explicitly stated otherwise, will only be accessible in this manner.
We are gladly guiding you through the setup process, if so required.
Please note that adding a machine/workstation may induce fees related to the specific services you require.
You MUST NOT re-use the same key on multiple devices. You MUST immediately notify Lutteropp.Dev in case a private key is considered likely to have been compromised. Doing so will result in the cancellation of the compromised access as soon as it has been received. If personal data as to the GDPR is involved, call the emergency hotline immediately - this call is free of charge!
If not requested otherwise, and as long as hosting is provided by Lutteropp.Dev, any and all data is stored solely in an encrypted manner and on a RAID1-backed storage. Data is backed up weekly with daily incremental backups, encrypted and transferred to Google Drive. They are being retained there for two months.
Processing of Personal Data for service fulfillment
As soon as you require the collection or processing of personal data, you have to verify your identity using stripe's identity service - unless you are meeting with us in person and bringing a valid, government-issued ID. For more information, please see https://stripe.com/identity.
Software Development
Developed software - the related source code base, as well as any resulting binaries or packages - stays property of Lutteropp.Dev until any payments due have been fulfilled. For all developed software, a maintenance and enterprise support subscription is available past its initial development.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT.
Lutteropp.Dev reserves an exclusive right to modify and distribute portions of the software at any later date under the restriction that it neither compromises the identity of the customer nor the software's intended purpose.
Consultation
Any and everything said in a consultation is considered privileged. We do not share anything you said or act upon any of the information provided unless requested by the customer, including the fact that the consultation happened in the first place, of course. We expect you to treat information provided by us in a similar way.
You explicitly agree to receive related service offers from us during a consultation.
All consultations which are not held in person happen within a Google Meet. In case a contract is to be formed, your customer account will be created and you will be directed to the customer portal.
Remote Access
Remote access has to be provided in the following ways:
For Windows: We are solely using https://remotedesktop.google.com for remote support. Please verify the connecting Google account - and make sure it ends with "@lutteropp.dev" (Emergency and General Support) or "@support.lutteropp.dev" (General Support) - or that the mail address is listed on the public keys page!
For Linux: Please make sure that an SSH server running on the machine is reachable, that the user associated to Lutteropp.Dev has root privileges (e.g. via sudo) and that the relevant public keys are on the system. You can find the public keys on the public keys page. We highly recommend creating a dedicated user. Since it's not a managed system, you are responsible for removing any obsolete access credentials, and are solely responsible for any damage caused by failing to do so.
For managed systems: As long as onboarding is complete, there is nothing you need to do.
Emergency Support
First and foremost: Emergency support is only available to existing customers/not to the general public.
If you are a legal entity, you have to provide a list of people permitted to report an Emergency including their contact details - they will each be issued an individual ID. In case of natural entities, the customer can always report an Emergency.
After providing your customer ID, the call will be recorded. This marks the official start of the incident report. The recording may only be used for post-mortem purposes and in case of legal queries, as well as proof of the incident report.
Gitlab
You can find the Gitlab instance's terms of use at https://git.lutteropp.dev/-/users/terms.
